Los Angeles Zoo • June, 2026

We visited the Los Angeles Zoo on June 8 and June 13, 2026. The first day we walked the zoo and admired their amazing collection of animals. Several days later, we joined an organized bird walk to enjoy wild birds in the park, and also took photos of more of the residents. The wild bird photos are on the Griffith Park page.

Near the entrance to the zoo are the flamingos. The Chilean flamingos have black feathers that are visible only when they open up their wings.
