On June 8, we visited the Los Angeles Zoo in Griffith Park. On June 13, we did a bird walk organized by the zoo. Photos on this page are local wild critters, not zoo animals (see the zoo page for those).

This Allen's hummingbird was feeding from several flowers, as you can see with its head buried in a flower in the second photo. The theme of the walk was pollinators and you can see this one with a yellowish cap of pollen on its head. Click on the third photo for the best view of that.
