Marymoor Park Nature Trail • April 9, 2026

On our first 2026 outing with the Marymoor Park weekly bird walk was a bit chilly, but yielded interesting birds and a few nice photos.

We started just after sunrise and were treated to a lovely last quarter moon.

The great blue herons were in full nesting mode with a constant stream of birds foraging for nest material. The heron on the left is handing off a twig to its mate for placement on the nest.
