African Safari
Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana
November-December, 2023
In November 2023, we went on a photo safari in Zambia and Botswana. We had visited Africa in 2006 and wanted to see more. Specifically, we wanted to see lions, leopards, and cheetahs. We also like supporting the tourism industry so there is employment around protecting animals and preserving habitat. We picked this time of year because it is the season for babies.
We spent three nights at each of four camps, the first in Zambia and the others in Botswana. Our guide, Ona, from Botswana, is an expert in tracking animals and photographing them.
We got to ride in an all-electric safari vehicle at Gomoti Camp
